Six months after leaving home
"I left Norton Rose Fulbright a little over six months ago and leaving was not an easy decision but it was time for me to see the world. "
I arrived at Norton Rose Fulbright in January of 2009 and I immediately felt at home. I rotated through four departments in my first two years, my favourite being the six months spent in the aviation department with Pierre Naude and Heather Mason, and the six months spent in the Pan-Africa cross border team.
Throughout my years at Norton Rose Fulbright, I worked on challenging matters, travelled to Zambia for a huge transaction and spent six months as an associate in the Dar es Salaam office, collecting friends and memories along the way.
I left Norton Rose Fulbright a little over six months ago and leaving was not an easy decision but it was time for me to see the world. I have so far travelled to Israel, a trip I never thought I’d take, I am in love with Berlin and will be making a few more trip there along with visits to other parts of Germany and Europe in the Summer.
I now sit in my Master of Law and Business class at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany and because of the experience gained in the past seven years, I am able to share my legal opinions and experience with the Professors and my fellow classmates from around the world.
At the risk sounding cheesy, I am grateful for my years at Norton Rose Fulbright, my biggest take away is the confidence to be a global player.
